We are happy to announce that XSplit 1.3 Beta is available to all users. In this new version we have added several feature improvements and made a number of fixes. Download XSplit 1.3 Beta here. For a full list of changes, please refer to the release notes.
To give you an idea of the improvements you can expect with XSplit 1.3, we have compiled a couple of highlights:
Automatically connect to the best Twitch server:
Twitch provides a list of ingest server locations to stream your gameplay to. The workload of a server changes very differently during the day depending on factors like time of day and the dynamic conditions of the internet itself. Choosing the least busy and fastest responding server for your live stream can now be fully automated. We have worked with Twitch to set up a user friendly solution for automated ingest selection while still leaving the option for manual control. Check out the new Twitch plugin for XSplit 1.3 in action.

Run your Twitch ads from anywhere via a hotkey:
When you're a partnered publisher you earn money from the ads that viewers see on your stream. Twitch already allows their partners to trigger ads using their web based dashboard, but it’s not always convenient to alt+tab to hit the button. With the new ad hotkey, XSplit 1.3 allows partners to trigger advertisements on the stream anytime without the need to switch to the dashboard. If you’re a Twitch partner go set up your preferred hot key in XSplits options on the hot key tab.
Improved Chroma key:
Chroma keying is great, but it can be difficult to configure correctly. XSplit 1.3 features a new Chroma key implementation where users get great results with little or no configuration.
In the video below we have stitched together several short videos with green screen. Each of the short videos all use different green tones making it more hard to set up a proper Chroma key and each of the scenes contains very difficult material to chroma key (smoke, mirrors, reflections etc.) but hey no big deal:

Changing bitrate settings on the fly (for advanced users):
Changing bitrate settings on the fly (for advanced users):
In special circumstances it can be useful to adjust the stream bitrate on the fly. Imagine that you are live and your network conditions change to the worse - in that case you would rather stay live and adjust than go offline and try again. This feature can also be used during tweaking of settings, to minimize the need to repeatedly go offline and online while tuning for that elusive sweet spot. Note this feature is still experimental and currently not supported in CBR mode.
